Six players from the Isle of Wight went to Wales on 12th and 13th July to play the Welsh Open Competition. Unfortunately this was cancelled, but Tansy and Paul Mayfield of the Carleon RFC Petanque Club kindly organised two days of ptanque for the Isle of Wight players.

 

Saturday consisted of an arduous pub crawl to six pubs in the area to play a game of petanque (and have at least one drink at each !), with the winner and loser of each round having a forfeit in the form of fancy dress !

 

Our thanks to Tansy, Paul and the members of the their Club for turning out at such short notice and making it a great weekend !!

 

Watch Out - they want to come to the Isle of Wight next year and do the same !!
