ISLE OF WIGHT JUNIORS
WELCOME TO THE ISLE OF WIGHT JUNIOR PAGE
Juniors are the base and beginning to a successful petanque team. They are the most important factor into developing a successful and popular worldwide support.
Juniors can play together in a team in both junior and adult competitions, as wll as along side adults in adult competitions. Often it is the case that the adult teams find themselves being beaten by junior teams.
Juniors are players under the age of 18 on the 31st December. They are divided into:
Minims - under 11 years old
Cadets - between the ages of 11 and 14 years
Juniors - between the ages of 14 and 18 years
EQUIPMENT
A good player has their own equipment, so having your own set of boule is essential for the development and success of junior talent. You will be able to practice at a time convenient to you.
Contact the Isle of Wight Youth Development Officer for advice and help when selecting an appropriate set of boule.
